We want to give you a heads up about an hhschools update. This update will focus on how hhschools handles package orders containing banners. If you order banners from us, it’s because you like how simple it is to order this product. And you like using the info you’ve already collected along with an H&H template to render a personalized banner for your customer. In this release we will add the logic that if the package order contains both packages and banners, hhschools will split the banners into a separate order.
This win-win change has benefits for both our production team and you. Did you know 80% of banner orders contain only banners? Today all those banners need to go through the package assembly step before they ship. Splitting the banners into their own order will allow us to ship your banners when they are ready, instead of waiting for your packages. This change also improves the flow through production for your package orders. If you’ve ever ordered prints and an album from hhstudio, this will function like that.
With this change, here are some things to consider:
- You do not need to place two separate package orders. hhschools will split the banners into their own order for you during finalization. The banner order will have “ – banners” added to the end of the description.
- Your banners will have their own order number and will ship to the same address as the package order it split from.
- If an image is ordering a banner, some other products, and retouching, the retouching service will be in both the package and banner orders.
- When you create a new package group, hhschools will help you to not add other products to a package that has a banner in it.
- If you order a package insert, it will ship with the package order (not the banner order). And that insert will not list the banner in the package contents section.
This improvement will also put us in a better position to add banner bulk packaging in the future. This is handy for when you need your banners in as few boxes as possible and the shipping costs as low as possible.
